Chrisette LIVE!!

So I went to the Chrisette Michele concert March 5, 2010. It was EVERYTHING I expected and more!!! I really enjoyed myself because she puts on a helluva show. The artists and the bands were really on top of their game. The stage presence was awesome.
This is why I chose Chrisette Michele for music Monday.
Chrisette is an awesome artist at the young age of 26. She puts emotion and shows she means exactly what she's singing. The "Epiphany" album is about break ups and becoming one with a new love. She caters to an audience of all ages and really knows how to reach out to her fans.
If she is ever in your area, the money will be well spent because true talent is really shown. She draws you in to where you feel the words of the song. She really has you contemplating relationships and what true love should be about. Be sure to check out Chrisette Michele if you haven't already. She is truly a treat to enjoy!!!

Showdown Sunday!

Well the Super Bowl has come and gone and the season has officially ended. That lil bar and grill is no longer packed with others getting wings, shrimp, oysters and other finger foods. Those faithful football fans have put away the seat cushions, face paint, fingers, and jerseys til fall.
With that being said, what are we to do with our Sundays now? We will catch up on drafts, all star programs, etc, but we won't have that same game excitement as before. Maybe date nights and family time will happen more often. Who knows what these days may bring?
We just have to wait til pre-season comes again and back to our "comfort zones" we go. What do you have in mind?

Day of Love?!?!

Some people get excited each year for this so called day of love. We want gifts, flowers, chocolates, etc not thinking this should be happening everyday and not just one day of the year. And what about those that don't have a significant other?!?! They have to sit through the nonsense as if though being without isn't already hard enough.
We prepare ourselves each year and spend unnecessary amounts of money to satisfy someone we love (or like) to keep the peace. ME? I show my love throughout the year so when this day comes it won't be a pressure thing as to what I am (or am not) getting because we know we already show love each and everyday. Besides my birthday is around the corner and I wouldn't want to mess up that gift right?!?! *wink*
Not to down those that do give gifts but we all should show love and treat each other special each and everyday so we don't fall into making all the companies happy (by spending our hard earned money) instead of our mates. Til next time be safe and love one another unconditionally!!! Peace

I Love...I Live...I Laugh

What to do when you love someone so much and are truly in love with them yet you love someone else. No one can help their feelings but how do you know when to act on a feeling. Sometimes your mind and heart can be in two places at once and you don't know which way to go. This is a dilemma that a friend of mine is facing.
She has a boyfriend she's been with for 5 or 6 years and they have a house together and have shared these 5 years with plenty of TLC. There is nothing that will break them apart (at least in their minds). They live life fully as a happy couple. The only thing is she has feelings for someone she's been close friends with for years.
She feels as though its wrong for her to like this friend yet wants to act on a relationship. This relationship could possibly jeopardize her current relationship. Her acting on her feelings could end something permanent for what could be a few days of pleasure. Now my response is to play it safe and love the one you're with. She says you can't fight feelings. What do you think bloggers?

Life is like...

...A box of chocolate, you never know what you're gonna get -Forest Gump
Not that anything is wrong, but I just decided to blog. I have been enjoying 2010 so far and am praying it continues to get better each day. I have laughed, smiled, joked, etc since January 1. I continue to believe and have faith in God and know everything works according to his will.
I was blessed with trials and tribulations in 2009 to be blessed with the overflow in 2010. I am no longer stressing over things out of my reach. I will not continue to live in the same situation as before. I will continue to be a better person. I will continue my education. I will succeed. How has 2010 been to you so far? And what are you contributing to it to make it better?
